A Perfectly Matched Wedding Look for Antony and Andy

Kerri O'Brien

Antony and Andy first crossed paths with me at the Walthamstow Wedding Fair in February 2024. From the moment they explored my ready-to-wear collection, they knew they wanted something truly special for their big day.

They later visited my studio, excited to try on our suits and shirts while narrowing down their print choices. After much deliberation, they settled on two standout designs—Tokoriki and Kingcote. In the end, they both fell in love with the Kingcote print but chose opposite colourways, ensuring their looks remained coordinated yet distinct.

To further personalize their outfits, Antony opted for a classic tie, while Andy went with a stylish bow tie, both complemented by matching pocket squares. Adding an extra layer of surprise and sentiment, they kept their final selections secret from each other until the wedding day—a truly special moment of revelation!

Taking their ensemble to the next level, they commissioned bespoke printed socks in the same Kingcote print. The socks tied their outfits together seamlessly, with the colours harmonising beautifully with their suits. Also wow just look at their amazing taste in shoes !!

Their wedding took place in a breathtaking rural setting in the Cotswolds (Milton end Barns in Arlingham Gloucestershire), where guests were treated to a magical stay in luxurious tipis. The celebration was nothing short of spectacular, culminating in a night of dancing to live music and a Dj. By the phenomenal “Mariachi El Pinch Gringo band” and “Disco Shed” were the DJ.

Advice for couples planning a wedding?

Give yourself lots of time so you can enjoy the whole process. We planned it over a couple of years and loved almost every minute of it.

Favourite moment from the day?

Getting carried around the dance floor in a rubber dinghy whilst the mariachi covers band played Celine Dion my heart will go on.

Wedding theme (if any)? - Not really, more of a festival vibe with people camping on site over 3 days. The colours were influenced from the button holes of orange and mustard yellow.

Review: Beautifully designed products

“Beautifully designed products and excellent customer service. We ordered matching designs for our wedding outfits and they looked absolutely perfect. Very well made ties, socks and pocket squares. We felt the personal touch from Kerri the whole way. We could not have picked more ideal accessories for our wedding, so thank you Kerri!”

Thank you so much Antony and Andy for choosing F+L to be part of your very special day. I love the print you chose and it was a pleasure working with you.

Wedding Suits:

Andy : I knew I wanted a green suit but that actually became quite a challenge but ended up finding one on ASOS for £90 and then customised the waistcoat, belt, shoes and of course the beautiful bow tie and socks to make to special and got it tailored to fit.

Flowers/buttonholes - Over the years, we’ve gathered dried flowers from our walks through Stroud and Walthamstow, carefully collecting memories along the way. These handpicked blooms became the heart of our table centrepieces and buttonholes. The only flowers we purchased were the small, fluffy yellow and orange ones from Walthamstow Market, adding a bright accent to our arrangements. The larger blooms beside us on the aisle held a special meaning, lovingly grown in Antony’s mum’s garden, making our floral decorations a true reflection of the places and people we cherish.

Sustainability is really important to me and as always, the accessories and gifts I created for Antony and Andy were designed to have a lifespan long beyond the wedding day as they can be worn again and again. I digitally print all my fabrics, only printing what I need, and I use every last bit of fabric so there is zero waste in my production process. I use natural and recycled fabric and print using eco inks. All the accessories were presented in recycled gift boxes and made in the UK.

If you’d like to commission me to produce a bespoke design which is truly unique to you for your special day, or would like to adapt one of my existing prints in a way that suits you, just get in touch for a chat today. I’d love to hear from you.
